Over one hundred years ago, William Plutarch Vandevert chose the most beautiful land in Central Oregon, on the Little Deschutes River, to build a log homestead and start a ranch. The meadows and pine forests had magnificent views of snowcapped Mt. Bachelor & Paulina Peak.
Vandevert Ranch is a low density gated community sixteen miles south of Bend, Oregon. Twenty ranch owners share 350 acres of common on both banks of the Little Deschutes River and hold about 50 acres in individual lots.
The sixteen custom loghomes built on the ranch have been designed by leading log home architects of the West and Northwest.
