It is located on the same grounds that during World War II were used as Camp Abbot, a training facility to teach people to fight in an artificial environment. Bend, La Pine, Redmond, and Sisters are the closest cities to this resort and also all have a very outdoors feel to them.

Things to Do

With an outdoor feel to this environment it is important to have many activities and locations to enjoy the outdoors with. You can play golf at one of the four golf courses, swim in one of the 3 outdoor swimming pools, enjoy a soothing rest at the outdoor spa, play a round on one of the 23 tennis courts, go for a ride on one of the biking and hiking trails, or even enjoy a little bit of cross-country skiing.

You can visit the Fly Fishing Lodge, enjoy the open water in a canoe from one of the marinas, ride a pony at one of the stables, and even enjoy a nice day visiting nature center and observatory within the limits of Caldera Springs. There will be no lack of outdoor activities when you stay here.
