Things to Know Before Closing

  • Signing: Escrow will schedule your signing.
  • Utilities: Keep utilities on through closing. Schedule transfer/shut-off for after the confirmed closing date.
  • Keys & Access: Leave keys, openers, fobs, codes, manuals, warranties, and appliance info in an agreed location.
  • Repairs: Leave receipts, invoices, or reports for any escrow repairs.
  • Clean Out: Remove all personal items, furniture, trash, and debris unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Attached Items: Ask your agent before removing mounts, rods, mirrors, shelving, brackets, appliances, or attached items.
  • Insurance: Keep homeowners’ insurance active until the closing is official.
